OMG: Momofuku heeft een buurtwinkel geopend in NYC

Ga je binnenkort naar New York? Dan móét je even langs bij Peach Mart. In deze mini-supermarkt vind je de favoriete Aziatische snacks van Momofuku-chef en eigenaar David Chang.

Peach Mart

Peach Mart (de naam is een knipoog naar Momofuku, wat ‘blije perzik’ betekent in het Koreaans) is een ode aan Aziatische buurtwinkels.

De mini-supermarkt opende in Hudson Yards: een spiksplinternieuw winkelcentrum in de Big Apple. David Chang opende er ook al restaurant Kāwi, de nieuwste vestiging in de Momofuku-keten.

Koreaanse sushi

De huisstijl van de winkel is niet alleen fantastisch, je scoort er ook nog eens snacks, snoep, koekjes en sandwiches, geselecteerd door de chef.

Bijvoorbeeld sandwiches belegd met chicken katsu, eiersalade of peanut butter & jelly, gemaakt met het nu zo razend populaire (want superzachte) Japanse milk bread.

Maar ook instant ramen en zakjes chips in bijzondere smaken scoor je hier. En proef in ieder geval ook even de kimbap: een soort Koreaanse versie van sushi.

Je vindt Peach Mart aan 20 Hudson Yards, op de vijfde verdieping. De hotspot is van dinsdag t/m zondag geopend tussen 11:30 en 17:00 uur.
